What is not included
We keep this plan focused and affordable by keeping it to one job: your website's health and security.
It does not include:
- SEO or search marketing
- Writing blogs or page content
- New pages, new products or new features
- Design changes and redesigns
- Custom plugin development or custom code fixes
- Logo and image creation
Those are all real work and they deserve proper attention, so they are quoted separately. If you want ongoing SEO, our plans start at $500 a month + GST and you can take just the part you need.
We would rather tell you what is not included than let you find out later.
Note: multisite websites are not supported, and WooCommerce sites need the business class plan. Please put those two as small text under this section.
Questions people
ask us
Why do I need this? My website seems fine.
It is fine right now. Software goes out of date quietly, and the first sign it mattered is usually a site that is offline, defaced, or quietly sending spam to your customers. This plan is what stops that first sign ever arriving.
Why would anyone hack my site? I'm not that big.
Hackers usually do not choose. They run scripts that scan the web for known weaknesses and take whatever they find. Small businesses get caught more often, simply because security was never a priority.
What happens to the software if I leave?
We hold the licences and your site uses them free while you are on a care plan or hosted with us. If you leave, we cancel the licences. We do not touch your website. Every plugin stays exactly where it is and keeps working. It just stops receiving updates, and over time it goes out of date. If you want to keep it current, we will tell you which licences to buy and what they cost.
Can't I just do the updates myself?
You can, and sometimes that is fine. But updating WordPress is more than pressing a button. Occasionally something breaks, and unless you can fix it or restore the site you are left with a broken website. You would also need to buy all the software licences yourself to match what we include.
Do I have to be hosted with you?
No. We can look after a WordPress site on any host, as long as we have cPanel or FTP access and admin access to WordPress.
What happens if the website goes down?
If we caused it, we fix it at no cost. If a plugin or theme turns out to be incompatible we will try to fix it, and if we cannot, we will find an alternative. If all else fails we restore the site and take it up with the software developer on your behalf.
Can I just have the updates and skip the rest?
No, and that is deliberate. The layers work together. Half a plan gives people a false sense of being covered, which is worse than knowing you have nothing.
